Once you get the proper marking tool. This is fantastic. It even came with insructions on how to sew it unlike other stencils that I'm having to guess on. Definitely takes practice if your a new sewer like me, but like I said the proper marking tool makes all the difference. I don't recommend chalk with this one. This pattern required alot of twist and turns that causes the chalk to rub off and causes you to guess in the end
