Simply Scrumptious Microwaving includes complete information on microwaving—from the best utensils to use to arranging food for the most successful results, from timing adjustments to converting regular recipes for use in your microwave. Microwaving has never been so scrumptious—or so simple!
This book shows you how to cook all sorts of things in the microwave. There are recipes for everything from vegetables and main dishes to many desserts and even potpourri! Written by three women with degrees in Home Economics, they really experimented with their microwaves. I have found the recipes very fool proof. The Sweet Potato Casserole with Crunchy (pecans or walnuts) Top has become a holiday tradition. I have made their Chicken Cordon Bleu as well as many other chicken and beef dishes and they came out very good. There are recipes for breakfast dishes, appetizers, soups, and even candy. It is not a low fat cookbook so many of the recipes call for butter and/or cream but you can make substitutions.
