As you likely know, a real Louis Poulsen PH 5 Pendant would be north of $1,000 new. Is this look-alike just as nice? No, but it is close enough that for the price, we're keeping it.Quality is OK. The paint finish is very good and has no noticeable blemishes. Colors are true and look good. The metal is VERY light and thus prone to bending easily. Out of the box, the bottom of the shade sat quite crooked. Ended up having to have remove each of the three connecting wires, bent the metal back to shape in several places, and then readjusted the nuts to keep the wires at the proper length. Took us about 30+ minutes of fiddling to make it sit level. Now completed, it looks great.Several things to know:• This fixture uses the European Union wire color code. It won't matter since there are only two wires, but do be aware it won't be black and white.• The fixture has no ground wire, which is potential safety issue. As such, it is not NEC compliant.• The fixture (which is extremely lightweight) hangs fully on the power cord alone with no supplemental support. As such, it is not NEC compliant (again). I don't foresee an issue, but it is what it is.• The fixture is not UL listed. The light socket looks well built and unlikely to create an issue - especially if you use LED bulbs.If you are willing to live with these tradeoffs, then I'd recommend the fixture. For us, we like it enough that we'll keep it and enjoy the fixture at a fraction of the price of a real one.
